The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Schenck Wolverines (East Millinocket, ME) and the host Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME), observed Schenck's basketball team knock off Stearns by a score of 41-23.

The Wolverines (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Howlers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Penobscot Valley prevailed over Calais (Calais, ME), 60-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Minutemen encounter the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) in a D North challenge, on Monday, December 16. Stearns will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 64-29 league win over Van Buren (Van Buren, ME).
