Alabama High School Basketball - Selma routs Southside

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Selma Saints basketball team scored a big 56-15 win over the Southside Panthers.
The Saints (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Montevallo (Montevallo, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Area 5 contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Montevallo was trounced by Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL), 51-8, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Ellwood Christian Eagles (Selma, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. Southside will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 26-24 non-league loss to Central (Hayneville, AL).
