In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Carvers Bay Bears basketball team scored a good 27-7 triumph over the Socastee Braves.

The Bears (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
