The West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV) basketball edged the host Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV), 26-25 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Wolverines now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Incline for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. West Wendover will play a Highlanders team coming off a 34-16 league loss to North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Pershing County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV) to play the Falcons in a bout on Friday, December 20. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
