In Thursday's non-league outing, the Wilbur Cross Governors (New Haven, CT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Amity Regional Spartans (Woodbridge, CT), by a count of 88-38.
The Governors (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Northwest Catholic smashed Farmington (Farmington, CT), 52-44, in a league outing.
The Spartans now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Trumbull for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 17. Amity Regional will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 51-48 non-league loss to Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
