The Coastal Academy Stingrays basketball team (Oceanside, CA), was nudged 47-43 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Del Lago Academy Firebirds (Escondido, CA)

The Firebirds now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Diego Jewish Academy for a Ocean battle on Saturday, December 17. Del Lago Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 57-53 league win over Guajome Park Academy (Vista, CA). The Lions record now stands at 5-4.

The Stingrays (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Escondido Adventist Academy (Escondido, CA). The Hawks come into the Ocean battle with a 2-4 record.
