Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rockville Rams (Vernon, CT), 67-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Ellington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Knights host Suffield (West Suffield, CT) to play the Wildcats in a North Central Connecticut bout on Friday, December 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Suffield won 57-27 in their recent league bout against Granby Memorial (Granby, CT)

Next up, the Rams play the Granby Memorial Bears (Granby, CT) in a North Central Connecticut bout, on Friday, December 16. Rockville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 57-27 league loss to Suffield (West Suffield, CT).
