Galena Bulldogs (Galena, KS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Girard Trojans (Girard, KS), 55-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Galena upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host McAuley Catholic (Joplin, MO) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Columbus Titans (Columbus, KS) in a Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee bout, on Friday, January 6. Girard will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 59-48 non-league win over Riverton (Riverton, KS).
