Lakota Raiders (Kansas, OH) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Gibsonburg Golden Bears (Gibsonburg, OH), 36-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lakota upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Raiders host Hopewell-Loudon (Bascom, OH) to play the Chieftains in a Sandusky Bay - River bout on Saturday, December 17. The Chieftains come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Hopewell-Loudon lost 53-48 in their recent league bout against Calvert (Tiffin, OH)

Next up, the Golden Bears play the New Riegel Blue Jackets (New Riegel, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River bout, on Saturday, December 17. Gibsonburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Blue Jackets come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 66-65 league win over Danbury (Lakeside, OH).
