The Sumiton Christian Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles to 42 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Addison for a 1A Area 13 contest on Monday, December 19. Sumiton Christian will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-48 league loss to Meek (Arley, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-4.

The Eagles (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Indian Springs (Pelham, AL). The enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Indian Springs was defeated by Midfield (Midfield, AL), 81-40, in a league contest.
