Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Osage Green Devils (Osage, IA), 56-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Newman Catholic upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Knights host Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Northwood-Kensett lost 74-39 in their recent non-league bout against North Union (Armstrong, IA)

Next up, the Green Devils play the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Osage will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 66-61 league win over St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA).
