The Alchesay Falcons (Whiteriver, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Ganado Hornets (Ganado, AZ), 54-50 in Thursday's league test.

The Falcons (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Monument Valley (Kayenta, AZ). The Mustangs go into the 3A North bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Monument Valley held off Winslow (Winslow, AZ), 48-41, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Hornets clash with the American Leadership Academy - Ironwood Warriors (Ironwood, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Ganado will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 50-39 league loss to Globe (Globe, AZ).
