Reed Raiders (Sparks, NV) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Douglas Tigers (Minden, NV), 41-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Reed upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Northern bout on Saturday, December 17. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-7. Damonte Ranch lost 59-24 in their recent league bout against Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV)

Next up, the Tigers play the McQueen Lancers (Reno, NV) in a 5A Northern bout, on Thursday, December 22. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Lancers come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 43-34 league win over Galena (Reno, NV).
