Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 60-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Houlton (Houlton, ME) to play the Shiretowners in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Shiretowners come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Houlton lost 49-37 in their recent non-league bout against Caribou (Caribou, ME)

Next up, the Trojans play the Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME) in a B North bout, on Thursday, December 22. Mount Desert Island will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
