The Girard Indians basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Hubbard Eagles to 39 in the Indians league victory on Thursday.

The Indians now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boardman for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Girard will battle a Spartans team coming off a 55-24 non-league win over Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.

The Eagles (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeview (Cortland, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Northeast Eight contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Lakeview was defeated by Struthers (Struthers, OH), 67-44, in a league contest.
