Woodbury Thundering Herd (Woodbury, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Haddon Township Hawks (Westmont, NJ), 57-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Woodbury upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Thundering Herd travel to Staten Island Academy (Staten Island, NY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Staten Island Academy won 32-20 in their recent league bout against Luther (Maspeth, NY)

Next up, the Hawks play the Sterling Silver Knights (Somerdale, NJ) in a Colonial bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Haddon Township will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
