The Montclair Mounties basketball team scored 35 points and held the visiting North Star Academy to 28 in the Mounties non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mounties now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Side for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17.

The (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Science Park (Newark, NJ). The Chargers enter the Super Essex - Freedom contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Science Park was nudged by Newark Collegiate Academy (Newark, NJ), 39-35, in a non-league contest.
