Colorado High School Basketball - Akron ripped by Merino

December 15, 2023: Merino, CO 80741

The Merino Rams basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Akron Rams to 32 in the Rams non-league triumph on Friday.

The Rams now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holyoke for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Merino will meet a Dragons team coming off a 56-25 non-league win over Haxtun (Haxtun, CO). The Dragons record now stands at 4-1.

The Rams (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sedgwick County (Julesburg, CO). The Cougars enter the 3A/2A Lower Platte contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Sedgwick County triumphed over Wiggins (Wiggins, CO), 42-32, in a non-league contest.
