The Bellevue Comets basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Anamosa Raiders to 55 in the Comets league victory on Friday.
The Comets now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maquoketa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Bellevue will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 53-51 non-league loss to Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-1.
The Raiders (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Rebels come into the River Valley contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Northeast was routed by Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA), 63-60, in a non-league contest.
