Woodbine Tigers (Woodbine, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ar-We-Va Rockets (Westside, IA), 58-46 in a league bout.
With the win, Woodbine upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Coon Rapids-Bayard won 86-44 in their recent non-league bout against East Union (Afton, IA)
Next up, the Rockets clash with the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats (Glidden, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Ar-We-Va will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 40-37 non-league loss to Boyer Valley (Dunlap, IA).
