The Pine Grove Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Ashland Blue Devils to 37 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alcorn Central for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Pine Grove will battle a Bears team coming off a 75-61 non-league loss to Biggersville (Corinth, MS). The Bears record now stands at 3-9.

The Blue Devils (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Walnut prevailed over Mantachie (Mantachie, MS), 97-71, in a non-league contest.
