In Friday's non-league outing, the Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX), by a count of 65-53.
The Tigers (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX). The Broncos go into the 6A Region II District 11 outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Mansfield Legacy was topped by Horn (Mesquite, TX), 44-40, in a non-league outing.
The Volunteers now hold a 10-9 record. They play next when they host Sam Houston for a 6A Region I District 8 outing on Tuesday, December 19. Bowie will clash with a Texans squad coming off a 88-64 non-league loss to North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX). The Texans record now stands at 3-10.
