Brentwood Indians (Brentwood, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY), 62-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Brentwood upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Indians host Riverhead (Riverhead, NY) to play the Blue Waves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Blue Waves go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Riverhead lost 63-61 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgehampton (Bridgehampton, NY)

Next up, the Patriots play the Riverhead Blue Waves (Riverhead, NY) in a Section 11 AAA-1 bout, on Thursday, December 21. Ward Melville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
