Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA), 60-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chilhowie upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Grayson County (Independence, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Grayson County lost 67-62 in their recent league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)

Next up, the Scarlet Hurricanes play the Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 91-40 non-league loss to Tri-Cities Christian (Blountville, TN).
