The Coleman Comets basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Merrill Vandals to 38 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vestaburg for a Mid-State contest on Wednesday, December 20. Coleman will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 77-23 league loss to Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI). The Wolverines record now stands at 3-2.

The Vandals (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeview (Lakeview, MI). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Lakeview was defeated by Morley Stanwood (Morley, MI), 49-21, in a league contest.
