Cuba City Cubans (Cuba City, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fennimore Golden Eagles (Fennimore, WI), 61-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Cuba City upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Cubans host Mineral Point (Mineral Point, WI) to clash with the Pointers in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities bout on Thursday, December 21. The Pointers go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Mineral Point won 61-36 in their recent non-league bout against Deerfield (Deerfield, WI)

Next up, the Golden Eagles clash with the Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Fennimore will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Hillmen come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 82-34 league win over Richland Center (Richland Center, WI).
