The Drummond Lumberjacks basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Mercer Tigers to 31 in the Lumberjacks league victory on Friday.

With the victory, Drummond upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Birchwood (Birchwood, WI) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 5-1. Birchwood lost 68-65 in their recent league bout against Lake Holcombe (Holcombe, WI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a Northern Lights bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Mercer will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Northstars come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 60-51 league win over Mellen (Mellen, WI).
