Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) and the host Glenbard North Panthers (Carol Stream, IL), saw Lake Park's basketball squad hold off Glenbard North by a tally of 49-45.

With the victory, Lake Park improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to St. Francis (Wheaton, IL) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Panthers confront the St. Charles North North Stars (St. Charles, IL) in a DuKane challenge, on Friday, December 22. Glenbard North will attempt to improve on its 8-1 season record. The North Stars come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 51-36 non-league loss to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL).
