Oakdale Eagles (Oakdale, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Greenback Cherokees (Greenback, TN), 70-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakdale upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Jellico (Jellico, TN) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Jellico won 95-78 in their recent non-league bout against Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN)

Next up, the Cherokees play the Wartburg Central Bulldogs (Wartburg, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Greenback will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 61-58 league win over Coalfield (Coalfield, TN).
