Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Water Valley Blue Devils (Water Valley, MS), 50-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hatley upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Caledonia (Caledonia, MS) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Caledonia won 61-60 in their recent non-league bout against Smithville (Smithville, MS)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Charleston Tigers (Charleston, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Water Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 52-37 non-league loss to Coffeeville (Coffeeville, MS).
