The Hornets (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Huntington (Huntington, TX). The Red Devils go into the 3A Region III District 21 test with a 3-12 record. In their last test, Huntington was trounced by Pollok Central (Pollok, TX), 58-44, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Pineywoods Community Academy for a 3A Region III District 21 test on Tuesday, December 19. Newton will encounter a Timberwolves squad coming off a 63-55 league loss to Woodville (Woodville, TX). The Timberwolves record now stands at 7-10.
