The Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX), 53-39 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets (11-0) will now prepare for their test against Queen City (Queen City, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region II District 14 test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, Queen City notched a victory over Winona (Winona, TX), 57-44, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Elysian Fields for a 3A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, December 19. Jefferson will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 65-44 non-league win over Pewitt (Omaha, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-3.
