The Liberty Minutemen basketball team (Bedford, VA), was routed 87-33 in Friday's league battle with the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA)
The Cavaliers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 19. Jefferson Forest will battle a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 96-38 league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 6-2.
The Minutemen (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, James River trounced Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA), 30-26, in a non-league battle.
