Georgia High School Basketball - Jenkins County tops Screven County

December 15, 2023: Millen, GA 30442

Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA), 60-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jenkins County upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The War Eagles host Metter (Metter, GA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Gamecocks play the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (Brooklet, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Screven County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 64-60 non-league win over Effingham County (Springfield, GA).
