Mississippi High School Basketball - Velma Jackson falls to Leake County

December 15, 2023: Camden, MS 39045

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Leake County Gators basketball team scored a good 65-51 triumph over the Velma Jackson Falcons.

In their next game, the Gators meet the Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 16. Leake County will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Gators enter the match with a 5-4 record after their 50-28 non-league loss to Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS).

With the defeat, Velma Jackson moves to 4-7 on the year. The Falcons host Wingfield (Jackson, MS) to meet the Falcons in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 19. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 0-10. Wingfield lost 73-47 in their recent non-league match against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS)
