Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX), 81-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, Livingston upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Splendora (Splendora, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Region III District 20 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-7. Splendora lost 68-44 in their recent league bout against Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 79-37 league win over West Fork (Kingwood, TX).
