The Lower Moreland Lions basketball team scored 90 points and held the visiting Springfield Township Spartans to 64 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Ghost Prep for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Lower Moreland will meet a Firebirds team coming off a 84-78 non-league win over William Tennent (Warminster, PA). The Firebirds record now stands at 2-4.

Next up, the Spartans play the Cheltenham Panthers (Wyncote, PA) in a Suburban One - American bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Springfield Township will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 42-33 non-league win over Penn Wood (Lansdowne, PA).
