The North Pike Jaguars basketball team (Summit, MS), was toppled 77-66 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS)

The Hornets now possess a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Lincoln for a 2A Region 7 battle on Monday, December 18. Loyd Star will confront a Bears team coming off a 84-39 non-league win over Mississippi School for the Deaf (Jackson, MS). The Bears record now stands at 5-7.
