The Mayo Spartans basketball team scored 83 points and restricted the visiting Mankato West Scarlets to 62 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to White Bear Lake for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29.

Next up, the Scarlets play the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) in a AAA Section 2 bout, on Thursday, December 21. Mankato West will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
