Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes (Morristown, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sevier County Smoky Bears (Sevierville, TN), 54-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Morristown-Hamblen East upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Gulf Breeze (Gulf Breeze, FL) to clash with the Dolphins in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Dolphins go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Gulf Breeze won 68-62 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Walton Beach (Fort Walton Beach, FL)

Next up, the Smoky Bears clash with the Northview Academy Cougars (Kodak, TN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Sevier County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 59-56 non-league win over Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN).
