The Pella Dutch basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Newton Cardinals to 62 in the Dutch league win on Friday.
The Dutch (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Knoxville (Knoxville, IA). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Knoxville defeated Centerville (Centerville, IA), 93-64, in a non-league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pella Christian for a Little Hawkeye outing on Thursday, December 21. Newton will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 84-46 non-league win over Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
