Niles Vikings (Niles, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sturgis Trojans (Sturgis, MI), 63-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Niles upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to North Lawndale (Chicago, IL) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Trojans play the Edwardsburg Eddies (Edwardsburg, MI) in a Wolverine B bout, on Thursday, December 21. Sturgis will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Eddies go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 52-42 league loss to Otsego (Otsego, MI).
