Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA), 56-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oelwein upgrades its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Waukon (Waukon, IA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Waukon lost 65-29 in their recent league bout against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Wapsie Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 62-32 non-league loss to West Delaware (Manchester, IA).
