Georgia High School Basketball - Upson-Lee holds off Taylor County

December 15, 2023: Thomaston, GA 30286

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) and the visiting Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA), saw Upson-Lee's basketball squad hold off Taylor County by a tally of 52-49.

With the victory, Upson-Lee improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Knights host Spalding (Griffin, GA) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Spalding lost 106-85 in their recent league challenge against Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA) in a A D2 Region 6 challenge, on Monday, December 18. Taylor County will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 65-47 non-league win over Crawford County (Roberta, GA).
