Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME) and the visiting Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME), saw Telstar's basketball squad knock off Waterville by a count of 61-49.

With the victory, Telstar upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Sacopee Valley lost 63-50 in their recent league challenge against Waynflete (Portland, ME)

Next up, the Panthers play the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Waterville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Black Bears come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 76-74 non-league win over Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME).
