Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD), 54-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Aberdeen Central upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD) to play the Scoopers in a AA bout on Saturday, December 16. The Scoopers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Sturgis Brown lost 51-13 in their recent league bout against Riggs (Pierre, SD)

Next up, the Spartans play the Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Spearfish will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Governors enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 51-13 league win over Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD).
