Texas High School Basketball - Arp thwarts Elysian Fields

The Arp Tigers (Arp, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), 41-27 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Waskom (Waskom, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region II District 16 test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Waskom notched a victory over West Rusk (New London, TX), 82-54, in a league test.

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-19 record. They play next when they host Jefferson for a 3A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, December 19. Elysian Fields will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 41-36 league win over Troup (Troup, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-6.
