North Carolina High School Basketball - South Point thwarts Ashbrook

December 15, 2023: Belmont, NC 28012

The South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), 40-32 in Friday's league test.

The Red Raiders (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars go into the 3A Big South outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Forestview was beaten by Crest (Shelby, NC), 63-48, in a league outing.

The Greenwave now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Kings Mountain for a 3A Big South outing on Tuesday, December 19. Ashbrook will clash with a Mountaineers squad coming off a 70-30 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-6.
