The Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), 43-31 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Midlothian went down by Joshua (Joshua, TX), 46-42, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Rider for a 5A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, December 19. Azle will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 62-47 league loss to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 5-6.
