The Barrow Whalers basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Kotzebue Huskies to 21 in the Whalers league triumph on Friday.

The Whalers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grace Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Barrow will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 66-28 non-league win over Homer (Homer, AK). The Grizzlies record now stands at 2-0.

The Huskies (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Homer (Homer, AK). The Mariners enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Homer was routed by Barrow (Utqiagvik, AK), 62-33, in a non-league contest.
